14U Rampage kick off their season in Antioch

Strong bats and clutch pitching leads to a successful weekend

Updated Monday April 30, 2018 by El Cerrito Youth Baseball.

The 14u Rampage began their select/all-star season this past weekend in Antioch at the NCTB Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. After dropping their first game, the Rampage rebounded and won their second game behind some timely hits and clutch pitching.

Unfortunately, they missed out on advancing to the semi-final bracket by run differential (after tying on runs allowed). Despite that disappointment, on Sunday, the Rampage flattened the 14U East Bay Cyclones, 13-5. For the weekend, the Rampage hit .420 as a team (with a slugging percentage of .654). The team's strong debut bodes well as they prepare for their next tournament on Memorial Day.
